What is an ATAR?
The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is your standing relative to your peers who graduated high school in the same year. The ATAR is calculated according to rules established in each state.
What is a selection rank?
Selection Ranks is a score that includes ATAR plus adjustment factors. Universities can award adjustment factors to eligible students.
What is an adjustment factor?
Adjustment factors are additional points added to your ATAR to create your Selection Rank. These factors consider a variety of different categories and are designed to help students overcome adversity, reward exceptional performance, and recognise extracurricular activity.
