A wide range of support services are available to help you make your studies at Notre Dame as successful as possible.
Learning advisors can assist you with study skills, academic writing and mathematics. The University Library provides support in the form of eBooks, eJournals, databases, FAQs, training modules and comprehensive guides on a range of topics.

Our learning advisors are here to help you with questions about study skills, academic writing and mathematics.
Book an appointment with a Learning Advisor for a 30-minute face-to-face or Zoom meeting.
Specialist learning advisors are also available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student support and English as a Second Language (ESL).

Study skills workshop
Each semester Learning Advisors and library staff combine to present a series of lunchtime workshops to assist students develop key academic skills. Workshops are optional, free and no bookings required.

Studiosity is a 24/7 study support and writing feedback service, available free for all Notre Dame students.
Get feedback on your writing before you submit an assignment, or connect live with a specialist to get instant feedback and advice.

One-on-one maths support
For individual and tailored support you can book a session with any of our learning advisors via the Library appointments system.
On-campus drop-in (Sydney only)
Available Wednesdays 10am – 1pm (St Benedict’s Library, Broadway) and Thursdays 10am – 4pm (Leichhardt St, Darlinghurst). Drop-in and chat with us about your maths study needs, no appointment needed.

Learn from other students
If you’re interested in learning from and with other students, we run Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS). These are optional student-led, study groups to help you deepen your understanding of the content and skills in your course, in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Library support services
You can find online support resources by using the Findit search tool on the Library homepage. Use your student ID and password to access the resources.If you can’t find the resource you are looking for, you can recommend that the Library acquires that resource. If the resource is listed on your reading list, please also inform your course coordinator of your request.

Borrow books
You can borrow books in person from any of our libraries, just bring your Student ID card. Our Library contacts webpage lists the locations of the physical libraries.

Speak to Library staff
You can speak to the Library staff using the Chat With Us service which will automatically pop up when you’re navigating the Library webpages.
Alternatively, you can call or email your local campus library 7 days a week. Library staff will escalate your question if you need specialist advice.
