We make it easy to train, work and live rurally

The Riverina Regional Training Hub (RRTH) is dedicated to assisting high school students, medical students and junior doctors in Australia with their journeys into a rural medical career. This includes assisting with applications to any Australian medical school, health service network or specialist College, depending on their stage of study and training.

Established in 2017, we are part of the UNDA Rural Clinical School and offer support to individuals interested in studying, training, or establishing a career in rural and regional Australia, with a particular emphasis on the Murrumbidgee Riverina region of NSW.

  • We can help you to best prepare for a career in medicine while you are still in high school or early university.
  • We provide mentoring and individual career pathway guidance.
  • We provide scholarships for medical students and junior doctors.
  • We build additional specialist training pathways in collaboration with Murrumbidgee Local Health District and national specialist medical colleges.
  • We deliver customised training and education workshops as part of our collaborative efforts.
  • We build clinical supervision capacity in consultation with local clinicians as part of our collaborative efforts.

We collaborate with both the public and private health sectors in the major rural centres of Wagga Wagga and Griffith, as well as with primary health and community health organisations and services.
