Application process – postgraduate courses

Notre Dame's comprehensive admissions process considers you as an individual - your personal qualities, prior learning and reason for undertaking postgraduate study are taken into consideration.

The application process involves the following 5 stages:

  1. Apply direct – submit application form directly to our Admissions Office by 24 November for Semester 1 2018 - by post or in person
  2. Interview – eligible applicants will be invited to an interview
  3. Offer – successful applicants receive offers by email and post
  4. Accept your offer – within 14 days of receiving offer
  5. Enrolment – make it official at an enrolment session

Course entry requirements

  • Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas require successful completion of a Bachelor's degree
  • Master's programs require completion of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline at a high standard and may require completion of a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma
  • Master of Philosophy requires a bachelor's degree completed to a high standard
  • Master's by research requires a Bachelor's degree completed to a high standard or with high level Honours or a coursework Master's degree with a dissertation component
  • Professional Doctorate and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) requires an Honours or Master's level degree, completed at a high standard. Pervious research experience or professional practice may be required.
